LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rick “Rick the Bass Player” Rosas, a longtime collaborator of Neil Young, performing with Young in Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Crazy Horse, and Buffalo Springfield, has died. He was 65 at the time of his death.
In addition to his work with Young, Rosas performed appeared on a wide variety of recordings by many artists, including Joe Walsh, Jerry Lee Lewis, Etta James, and Johnny Rivers. Most recently, Rosas performed as a part of the briefly reunited Buffalo Springfield in 2011.
Rosas was also a sought-after session artist in Los Angeles and has been appearing every Monday at the The Joint nightclub in Hollywood for the past several years as the bassist for the Waddy Wachtel Band. The final album Rosas performed on was Pegi Young's 2014 release “Lonely in a Crowded Room.”
